ENDLESS WARM

How ‘bout

If we sit

And

Soak endless

Warmth

Together

I made these for the Sacred Objects Pottery Sale coming up here. Aren’t they cutie pies? I’m sure you know people who eat and drink. Wouldn’t they love to have a cup and bowl always filled with warm? Of course!

I wrote about sunflower while thinking about lots of things. All real. All good. Thank heavens words and clay and paint and songs can serve us in so many ways. Like the bee balm which is salve for my heart. And also my soul.

Sunflower. We met you in the summers when we drove across the country. Fields of blooms following the day. Also, Raffi, who saved my life about a million times, sings a song called Sunflower. Brilliant man.

And let’s talk about sunflower who knows how to take sunlight and SHAZAM! it’s breakfast lunch and dinner for so many. They make it look so easy. Never complain saying, “Waaaaah! I don’t know if I want to bloom today! I’m scared, what if I’m not good enough!!?” Ah! and here it is on this frosty morning, a breath of warmth deep in my cells! Thank you Sweetie!
