Haystack 2 of 3

Some time ago, I found a dove at the bottom of a window sill and buried it in my herb garden so the worms could do their work. After a while, I dug the bones up and they sat on a plate with their dirt on a shelf in my house and Jolene complained that there were bones in the living room. Since I drove to Haystack, I filled my truck full of possible book making supplies including bones and fabrics.

The Dove Being a Pair by Susan Wells

Dove skull, corduroy, antique quiet square, davy board, hand made abaca paper, cotton cord, pva glue.

When I am

in a tree

I am looking a lot

Looking

for my pair

we are being

one.

There is

thinking that

occurs

inside outside

our selfs.

It feels good

and easy

and light.

IMG_5329The work that

happens

on account

of our

togetherness

sends light

ripples of

girl and boy

union.

It is WHY

we are placed

high

in your

art.

Let it be known

how you are

mist, when

the seas meet &

villages collide

taking hearts

fusing them

permanently.

In the meantime,

we are

sneaking into

your

heart

minds.

The books I made will be at my Open Studio this Last Friday, August 30. The one you see here will not be there because it sold at Haystack. I hope you will come by to see the others….
