tonight. So many people have been in the house these days. Having eggnog, egg nests, and carrying on making Indian Food.
With a warm fire. And the tree looks nice.
I got to sit next to my boy man child Jonas. He told me about his classes. And his good grades. And stories about his trip to India that I had not heard.
I’m so proud of him. Can you tell? He’s so shiny and bright.
I went to be with the ladies circle on Solstice. We lit a yule log. And talked to the fire.
And asked would the fire kindly burn the log for us? And please send the sun back round?
The fire did both. How nice!
And I’ve been doing some more sewing and reading and sleeping on the sofa.
The house is quiet now. Tomorrow I clean the studio and prepare for what’s next.
And I’m so excited about it! Sculptures, pottery and poems.
I’m having fun now figuring out what in my life to cut out in order to have more time in the studio.
It started with ditching the two boxes of recycled wrapping paper that I’ve kept so neat and tidy for years. Ewe!
I don’t have time to organize wrapping paper!
And I’ve got a roll of newsprint the size of a 20 year old oak that works just fine. For wrapping presents. Yay!
Plus, now I don’t have to get annoyed when the other people in my house are messing up my homemaking-gift-wrapping-business.
Mwaha!!! It doesn’t exist!
Cept for a roll of paper and a bag of ribbon.
Amen.
